| Java Troopers was incorporated in
2006 by me, Bernard
Ng, after I very amicably parted ways with my employer of
almost 19 years, Sun
Microsystems Inc.
We are a very small company and will always be a
small company by design. I don't hire fulltime staff unless they
exhibit a
passion for technology equal to or greater than my own. That would tell
you something about those people because my idea of retirement is
having time to build all the toy applications I've been thinking
about. I see mobile phones and Blu-Ray players as programmable
platforms rather than mere communication and entertainment
devices. I have a rich network of seasoned, reliable professionals that I've known for some time and am happy to work with. Our primary modes of operation are: providing specialized consulting, implementing technically challenging portions of projects, or partnering with other companies and freelance technologists globally to deliver complete solutions. In essence, we are an IT service provider that clients can go to when they don't want to compromise the quality of their systems, products or services. If you require the "guarantee" of a big company's name to feel good about its service offerings, we won't be your preferred vendor. But if you want professionalism and results in our areas of specialization, then you will love us because we are highly selective about the jobs we take and who we partner with to deliver. We are happy to use products and technologies that we may not have expertise in yet, and pride ourselves in setting realistic expectations and coming up to speed very quickly.
